The Connecticut Entrepreneur Awards are an annual event. Each year, the entrepreneur community nominates people, events, and companies who have contributed to the entrepreneur community. then, open voting begins for the public. In addition, a panel of judges, including entrepreneurs from out of state, weigh in on the winners.
The awards are divided into two categories: Community Favorites and Judge's Favorites. Community Favorites are based on the popularity results from open voting. The Judges Favorites take popularity into consideration, but also use other criteria to select winners. A full breakdown of all the awards is available on the CT Entrepreneur Awards website.
This year, InsurTech Hartford was nominated in 4 categories and won Honorable Mentions in 3 of them. InsurTech Hartford's awards were in the categories of:
Entrepreneur of the Year for Social Good - Community Favorite
Community Builder of the Year - Community Favorite
Community Builder of the Year - Judge's Favorite
InsurTech Hartford received these awards because of the efforts of many people. Nathan Eusko and Dina Belyayeva have been working hard these last few months to keep things moving with twice the events in 2018 than we had in 2017. Frank Sentner helps with great startups and Gwendolyn Hahn has done great as our corporate community developer. Shana Schlossberg continues to support us with space. Arghya Sen and Vijaya Sundaravadivelan have been helpful at preparing the details at each of the events. Stacey Brown, founder, would not be able to deliver as much value without the help of others. Thank you to everyone.
Thank you to the people who keep coming out to our events. We look forward to seeing you there. We hope to make events bigger and more beneficial. If there is anyone you would like to see, just let us know.
